Roots Rated has hooked us up with some pretty awesome stainless steel pint glasses for the event. They are dishwasher safe and perfect to take camping! Lagunitas Brewing Company has also stepped up to donate beer for the evening. Your $5 donation to the Denali Foundation gets you a fill up (or two). Don't forget to bring some extra cash for our raffle. Gift cards, Roots Rated swag, The North Face Base Camp Duffel, and more.

The mission of The Denali FoundationGetting Kids Outdoors is to develop, support and fund community outreach programs that promote youth and family engagement in the outdoors and to protect access to local green spaces.

The Denali Foundation believes that every child should have access, opportunities and encouragement to experience the outdoors and connect with nature for their physical, emotional and educational well-being.

LISC CEO Talks Transportation Access on Global Citizen's “Vax Because”

As part of their worldwide vaccine access campaign, Vax Because, Global Citizen invited LISC CEO Lisa Glover and Uber's global head of social impact Julia Paige to discuss their $11 million Vaccine Access Fund, designed to upend barriers to transportation to vaccination sites—barriers that primarily affect undeserved communities of color. Said Glover in the video interview, together with Uber, “we can deliver the resources to our partners that are trusted on the ground, and they can work with their communities to get the transportation needs met.”

As LISC marks the beginning of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, assistant general counsel Ted Shen reflects on the imperative of allyship, and the extraordinary life and example of Grace Lee Boggs—philosopher, activist and exemplary ally in the struggle for racial and economic equity.
