Event Description
Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven, Inc. (NHS) and Start Community Bank will sponsor a free Multicultural Family Fun Fest on Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 12:30pm until 4:30pm in the parking lots of Neighborhood Housing Services at 333 Sherman Avenue and Start Community Bank at 299 Whalley Avenue in New Haven, CT. The theme of this year’s event is “Inherit the Earth” and aims to celebrate cultural diversity and care for the environment. It will feature art, traditional dancing, boxing demonstrations, Zumba, poetry jams, free food and ice cream. Awards will be given out to Joanne Sciulli and Solar Youth, Mattie Stevenson, and two students from Common Ground High School: Lanissa Gardner and Jackie Failla.
