Event Description

Matthew Dicks, 30-time Moth StorySLAM champion, returns to the JCC of Greater New Haven for a storytelling workshop! Join us for a day of detailed instruction, explanation, and stories that will make you laugh and maybe even cry. The storytelling workshop focuses on exercises that assist individuals in creating stories from daily experiences while providing constructive feedback to refine storytelling skills. Matthew’s workshops also prepare individuals for speaking and storytelling in a wide variety of environments. The low-stakes, safe, and inviting atmosphere welcomes all who are interested in the art of storytelling. Beginners encouraged.
