Milton Fisher Scholarship Deadline May 1st
- Applications due: May 1, 2018
- We offer up to $20,000 (up to $5000 per year for four years)
The scholarship is open to exceptionally Innovative and Creative High School Juniors, Seniors and College Freshmen who are:
- Graduating from a high school in Connecticut/New York City Metropolitan area (and plan to attend or are attending college anywhere in the U.S.)
OR - Graduating from a high school anywhere in the U.S. and plan to attend (or are attending) college in CT or NYC
Apply for this scholarship if you are . . .
- a student who has solved an artistic, scientific, or technical problem in a new or unusual way
- a student who has come up with a distinctive solution to problems faced by your school, community or family

New Report: A Close Look at the Reality of Community Violence Interrupters
Dr. Kathryn Bocanegra and Dr. Shani Buggs, eminent researchers and experts on the work of community violence intervention, have published, together with LISC, Supporting the Frontline Through Community Healing: Advancing Science on Violence Intervention Outreach and Trauma Exposure. Manufactured housing, which 20 million Americans call home, is one of the few affordable housing options in the United States. The residents of two Washington State mobile home communities recently succeeded in purchasing their parks with help from ROC USA and over $2 million in financing from Rural LISC. As a result, they have been able to stabilize their housing costs, upgrade their communities and remain in the places they love.
