Touching story however this is NOT an underprivileged school. This is the sad state of public education in the United States. Until we value our kids more than we fear our enemies this is the sad best hope for how public education will be financed. Those who think that private schools education means that they and their children need not concern themselves with this problem are sadly mistaken. We will all pay for the lack of investment and commitment to a good public education system.

Where Do Workers Living on Low Incomes Stand in the Post-Pandemic Economy?
An article in Politico looks at the gains and losses—actual and potential—for lower-wage workers in the current economic climate. LISC and Enterprise Community Partners have released a joint white paper that catalogs how CDFIs have engaged with the capital markets in recent years. Foot Locker Foundation continues its collaboration with LISC to promote youth empowerment through mentoring, career development, and health and wellness activities—all while supporting community-based organizations with diverse leadership. A new $4.5 million commitment will support three annual grant application rounds. Proposals for the first round are due by August 30, 2023.
