- JUNTA works to improve the lives of low-income and other vulnerable residents through direct assistance, empowerment and advocacy. We provide Family Management assistance including information and referral for services, screening and application assistance for state programs (SNAP, Care4Kids, Disability, etc.), a diaper bank; Adult Education and Economic Development Programs (financial literacy, computer literacy, ESL, citizenship tutoring, GED and Spanish language classes), a therapeutic arts after-school program, and the Worker Center, that organizes low-wage and immigrant workers to campaign for fair wages and working conditions. JUNT also advocates for better health literacy, immigrant rights, and human rights of all residents.

Where Do Workers Living on Low Incomes Stand in the Post-Pandemic Economy?
An article in Politico looks at the gains and losses—actual and potential—for lower-wage workers in the current economic climate.
