IRIS — Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services is a program of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut and is the local affiliate of Episcopal Migration Ministries and the Immigration and Refugee Program of Church World Service.

IRIS resettles approximately 200 refugees each year. IRIS also provides some services to asylees and other immigrants. Currently, over half of IRIS’s refugee clients come from Iraq. Others come from Afghanistan, Congo, Cuba, Ethiopia, Iran, Somalia, Sudan, and other countries.

Refugees arriving this week need Two 2-Bedroom Apartments and Seven single Beds
 
We are welcoming two refugee families this Thursday, September 15th.  One is from the Democratic Republic of the Congo: a single mother with four young children.  And one is from Liberia:  four daughters (17, 10, and 6 year old twins)  reuniting with their father who has lived here since 2005.
