An article in Fortune highlights a $200 million investment from JPMorgan Chase to support small business and local community development funds. The funding has helped LISC Detroit, the Entrepreneurs of Color Fund (EOCF) and the Detroit Housing Fund create economic opportunities for thousands of Detroit residents. LISC senior vice president Tahirih Ziegler is quoted on the imperative of investing in affordable housing to protect against displacement in Detroit’s vulnerable communities.New Markets Support Company Announces New Name: Broadstreet
Since its founding in 2004, the New Markets Support Company has managed LISC's federal New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) allocation—currently the largest in the country at $1.2 billion. Over the years, the affiliate has expanded and diversified its offerings to mission-driven investors, and now has a new name to reflect that growth and impact.

You may post calendared events on the events page, non-date specific information on the blog, pictures or video. For profit members may not solicit business or advertise on this website.
Your chances of connecting with other members greatly increases if you include a photo or logo on your profile, if you include your job title and\or if you "like" or comment on the post of members. Events are also noticed more often if you include a picture or logo.
Check out the groups created by other members; this is a great place to meet people that share your interest and to ask questions.
