New Haven Symphony Orchestra seeks Development Assitant

Job Summary

The Development Assistant is responsible for administrative support of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra’s comprehensive year-round fundraising program. The position reports to the Development Director.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide administrative support for all fundraising activities; General office support, maintain records, acknowledge donor gifts and prepare direct mailings. Assist in the completion of grant proposals. Fulfill donor benefits. Assist in the production of fundraising materials.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Strong commitment to fundraising ethics.
  • Ability to learn database management tools such as Raiser’s Edge.
  • Superb communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Enthusiasm for working collaboratively with a dedicated team.

 

Hours and Compensation

  • Full-time position with benefits. Some evening/weekend hours required. Positive and flexible team environment. Salary commensurate with experience.
