As we reflect on Black History, a very dear friend (JP) has shared his story about his battle with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer. The intent is to offer a first-hand experience that will be helpful to others and hopefully, will encourage us all to be very proactive about our health and well-being. He is concerned that the new cancer screening guidelines might be confusing for many African-American men who are already skeptical and resistant to getting screened. He was one of those men.
