The Arts Council of Greater New Haven, New Haven, CT, seeks a part time Communications Manager to work 24 hours a week. Reporting to the Director of Development and Marketing, the Communications Manager will oversee all marketing, communications, and media relations including press releases, eblasts and social media. The Communications Manager will create, update, and oversee content and keep track of analytics for newhavenarts.org, theartspaper.com, as well as The Arts Council’s Facebook and Twitter pages. Responsibilities also include overseeing the promotion of all Arts Council events and programs. Must maintain existing and establish new relationships with regional media. Communications Manager will work with the Editor of The Arts Paper on all aspects of production of the publication- must work well under deadlines. Must also have a pleasant demeanor; will be working with the public fielding questions, approving/editing calendar listings, and enforcing size limitations and deadlines. Coordinate and direct graphic designer in the design and production of all promotional material. Excellent writing and communication skills required; must also be proficient in Photoshop, Wordpress, and social media. Multi-tasking and organizational skills essential.
