Access Health CT - Our Insurance Marketplace -- to Open Oct. 2013. Be Informed!

OneWorld Encourages Everyone to Learn about Access Health CT before Oct. 2013 when the Exchange will open for full operations.


Access Health CT is Connecticut’s Health Insurance Marketplace.   This Health Insurance Exchange was established as a stand-alone, fully functioning, quasi-public agency to satisfy requirements of the federal Affordable Care Act. 

The power of the Exchange is vested in a 14 member board. 
The mission of Access Health CT is to increase the number of Connecticut residents who are insured, lower their costs, promote health and eliminate health disparities.

  • Access Health CT will operate at no cost to the state or its taxpayers.
  • The staff of the Connecticut Health Insurance Exchange is in charge of day-to-day operations. 
  • On the Exchange’s web site you can find answers to many frequently asked questions. 
  • Check the Access Health calendar for upcoming meetings and other consumer-related activities.
  • CT residents can sign up for an eNewsletter or other information updates about the implementation of the Health Care Reform Plan in Connecticut.

EPA Awards GRID Alternatives Solar for All Grant

LISC partner GRID Alternatives has been awarded a $249,800,000 Solar for All grant from the EPA to advance renewable and clean energy sources for affordable housing communities across the country. “The grant is an incredible boon to the movement to decarbonize homes and lower energy costs that burden millions of everyday Americans,” said Michael T. Pugh, president and CEO of LISC.
