United Way Announces Funding Opportunities for Non Profits

United Way of Greater New Haven is inviting proposals for grant funding from any non-profit organization serving low-income school-age youth (Kindergarten-Grade 12) in Branford, East Haven, Hamden, New Haven, North Haven and West Haven. Annual grant amounts will range from $10,000-$50,000 and will provide three years of funding to programs that provide high-quality wraparound services and learning supports to help school-age youth in our region succeed in school and be prepared for…

Members may post information that they think will be of interest to nonprofits, civic organizations, the people they serve or the general public. You may post calendared events on the events page, non-date specific information on the blog, pictures or video.

EPA Awards GRID Alternatives Solar for All Grant

LISC partner GRID Alternatives has been awarded a $249,800,000 Solar for All grant from the EPA to advance renewable and clean energy sources for affordable housing communities across the country. “The grant is an incredible boon to the movement to decarbonize homes and lower energy costs that burden millions of everyday Americans,” said Michael T. Pugh, president and CEO of LISC.
