- We provide empowerment workshops to young girls at risk of dropping out of school. We are all-inclusive with a focus on reaching as many struggling, young Latina girls as possible becuase of alarming trends.
Our mission is to celebrate and empower young Latinas by providing inspirational role models and introducing powerful life skills for personal excellence.
Our unique program teaches four life skills that can lead to personal transformation (JARS): Journaling for self-discovery, Affirmations to reverse negative internal thoughts, Rules to establish healthy boundaries, and Setting smart goals for achievement.

LISC partner GRID Alternatives has been awarded a $249,800,000 Solar for All grant from the EPA to advance renewable and clean energy sources for affordable housing communities across the country. “The grant is an incredible boon to the movement to decarbonize homes and lower energy costs that burden millions of everyday Americans,” said Michael T. Pugh, president and CEO of LISC.

Welcome to GNH Community, glad to have you join us. Members may post information that they think will be of interest to nonprofits, civic organizations, the people they serve or the general public. For example, you may post calendared events on the events page, non-date specific information on the blog, pictures, video or discussions in the forum.
Check out the groups created by other members; this is a great place to ask specific questions. You may request to join as many groups as you wish or start a new group. The creator of a group sets the parameters for membership. If you have a question about a group, please write to the owner (the person who initiated the group). As the staff leader of your organization you may request membership in the Executive Director's. This is a "closed" group for E.D.s to talk with each other.
