A free workshop presented by R. Phyllis Gelineau, professor emeritus of music at Southern, will take place at SCSU on Fri., Oct. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event, aimed at nonprofit and business professionals, will begin with registration at 8:30 and conclude with lunch.
Participants will engage in hands-on activities that sharpen sensory awareness, stimulate imagination, improve concentration and develop divergent thinking. By exploring strategies for enhancing flexibility and deepening sensitivity, participants will learn how to promote strong team relationships, and experience new ways of creative problem solving.
Gelineau is a gifted educator and a successful author in music education. Having published four books on music and creativity, she says that creative activity can play a vital role in the problem-solving process by strengthening the right, or intuitive, side of the brain to aid in finding alternative solutions.Si no habla inglés, puede
