Christopher Prosperi and Courtney Febbroriello, husband-and-wife team, are co-owners of Metro Bis in Simsbury. They enjoy a passion for food, the restaurant business and each other. Courtney was named one of the Hartford Business Journal’s “40 Under 40,” and she received the National Association of Women Business Owners Award for “Connecticut Business Women of the Year.” In “Wife of the Chef: The True Story of a Restaurant and Romance,” she offers honest, humorous tales of the everyday challenges she faces and the people who take food, wine – and the chef – too seriously!
Chef Magazine nominated Chris one of five national finalists for the “Chef of the Year Award.” He writes a weekly recipe column for the Hartford Courant and his work regularly appears across the country via the Tribune wire service. He travels extensively, teaching cooking classes and promoting his easy, innovative American bistro cooking. He’s a regular weekly guest on the local NBC affiliate and has appeared on local and national radio and television programs, including Faith Middleton’s “Food Schmooze® on WNPR.”
