Come party at Somewhat Off the Wall and take home a piece of original art!
Somewhat Off the Wall, a unique art exhibition and party from which guests will take home original works of art, will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 5-9pm, 760 Chapel St., New Haven, in the spectacular space that is home to the Odonnell Company.
This year’s event features drawings, jewelry, paintings, photography, stained glass, pottery, prints, sculpture, and printed textiles by 50 outstanding artists who have each donated three pieces of their work. These works will be on display to the public on Friday, September 21 from 11:30am-1:30pm and again from 5-7pm for a sneak peak.
Then, at 7pm on the night of the party, numbered premium tickets are put into a hat and drawn at random. As each premium ticket-holder’s number is called, he or she will select a piece of original artwork to take home.
Each of the 50 participating artists will be given a premium ticket making only 100 premium tickets, at $100 each, available to the public! An unlimited number of tickets to the event are available for $35 (these will not include artwork). Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served.
Participating Somewhat Off the Wall artists include Cheryl Albaine, Mary Americo, Amy Arledge, Laura Barr, Hayne Bayless, Marion Belanger, Ethan Boisvert, Alexis Brown, Greg Cochenet, Peter Craig, Jennifer Davies, Anne Doris-Eisner, Freddi Elton, Roxanne Faber-Savage, Joan Fitzsimmons, Julie Fraenkel, Josh Gaetjen, Joyce Greenfield, Larissa Hall, Keith Johnson, Charles Kingsley, Jaime Kriksciun, Melody Lane, Mara Lavitt, Mary Lesser, Vanilia Majoros, Barbara Marks, Michael Marsland, Irene K.
