This Thursday, I will give an introduction and walk-through for SHARE Haven.
SHARE Haven is Greater New Haven's Time Bank. With time banking, you share your skills with the community, and keep track of the time spent performing and receiving services for one another, using time as a currency. The goal is to build stronger communities by sharing your time and skills within the local economy.
Thursday's presentation will cover the following:
1) A short and simple introduction to community-based currencies & the philosophy behind Time Banking.
2) A demonstration of how the system works & how to sign up.
3) Follow-up questions & discussion.
I hope you can come out and learn about this amazing tool for fostering individuals and community!
