On a OneWorld Civic Engagement TV forum-- high school students from Hamden, New Haven and North Haven discuss what President Obama's election means to them. Monique Haynes, a graduate of Career High School (now a student at Yale) expressed her concerns that Republicans will make it difficult for President Obama to be successful during his first term in office. This diverse group of students talk about what this event means in their own lives.
"Rosa Parks sat, and that Dr. King could march, so that Barack Obama could run and now Black students can FLY"
Our OneWorld Presents TV programs are scheduled to air every Sun. at 7pm on CTV, Comcast Channel 26. We encourage you to tune in to see our informative and dynamic health literacy, education and civic engagement programs.
