Event Description

Order of Mercy is sponsoring another street clean up on Grand Avenue on Saturday May 1st from 10am to 12 pm. (see attached flyer) We are meeting at the Center of Light at 844 Grand Ave at 10am. If you have your own gloves or other equipment feel free to bring them, however, Public Works will provide as many rakes, brooms, trash bags and gloves as we request. Let me know before April 26 if you plan to join us so I will know how many brooms, etc to request from DPW. My cell is: 203 415 9199

EPA Awards GRID Alternatives Solar for All Grant

LISC partner GRID Alternatives has been awarded a $249,800,000 Solar for All grant from the EPA to advance renewable and clean energy sources for affordable housing communities across the country. “The grant is an incredible boon to the movement to decarbonize homes and lower energy costs that burden millions of everyday Americans,” said Michael T. Pugh, president and CEO of LISC.
