Event Description

Join Massaro Community Farm for a viewing of Journey of the Universe, an Emmy award winning film that was shown on PBS. Set in Greece, it tells the story of the unfolding of our 14 billion year Universe and Earth. With arresting images and music, it evokes awe and wonder at our shared cosmic story. It challenges us to imagine the future path of that story that humans will shape.

Woodbridge residents, Mary Evelyn Tucker and John Grim, are the producers of Journey of the Universe. They teach at the Yale the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and the Divinity School and are supporters of Massaro Farm.

Come at 7pm and bring you dinner as you enjoy sunset on the farm. At 8pm, we will start the movie after comments from the producers. Afterwards, stick around to see some stars with local astronomers from the New Haven Astronomy Society and see our universe come to life!

Please RSVP to the event so we have a general idea of how many people will be coming. Donations are always appreciated, but please know that this event is free and open to the public!

Rain Date is August 17th
