Event Description

The West River Neighborhood Services Corporation (WRNSC) will celebrate 10 years of observing the International Day of Peace and Prayer on September 20, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. We will be holding the celebration at the United Nations/New Haven International Peace Garden at West River located on Ella T. Grasso & MLK Boulevard and Legion Avenue.

Residents from West River and its surrounding neighborhoods, and community partners are committed to the ongoing peace process and continue to seek innovative ways to keep this festival alive. The pursuit of peace and unity is increasable relevant today as we witness intensifying senseless acts of violence. Block watch groups, Neighborhood Associations, Youth Groups, Faith-based Organizations, and neighbors throughout the City and Statewide are all a part of this event.
