Event Description

Come celebrate the beauty of New Haven’s urban habitats and their importance to birds and people! Great music, bird walks and a live bird of prey show! 

Rain or shine!

Local bands, 81 South & Bait and Switch will perform at Bayview Park and guided bird walks through the Long Wharf Nature Preserve will start at 1 pm. 

Parking is available at the Sound School/public pier (17 Sea St).

Suggested donation: $5-10, sliding scale. No one will be turned away! Proceeds will be used to create bird and pollinator habitat in a New Haven Land Trust community garden.

EPA Awards GRID Alternatives Solar for All Grant

LISC partner GRID Alternatives has been awarded a $249,800,000 Solar for All grant from the EPA to advance renewable and clean energy sources for affordable housing communities across the country. “The grant is an incredible boon to the movement to decarbonize homes and lower energy costs that burden millions of everyday Americans,” said Michael T. Pugh, president and CEO of LISC.
