Join us for a screening of The Public followed by a Q&A. Silvia Moscariello of Liberty Community Services will be moderating the discussion following the film. The Public revolves around the patrons and library staff at the Cincinnati Public Library after an unusually bitter Arctic blast has made its way to their front doors. At odds with library officials over how to handle the event, the patrons turn the building into a homeless shelter for the night by staging a sit in. What begins as an act of civil disobedience becomes a stand-off with police and a rush-to-judgment media constantly speculating about what’s really happening. Refreshments will be served.
