Help us take care of Long Wharf Nature Preserve on International Coastal Clean-up Day, Saturday, September 15, 10a-12p in conjunction with Save the Sound. We will have some supplies on hand, but if possible, bring gloves and a trash picker. Please bring water, as we do not have water access on the site.
There is a parking lot at the south end of Long Wharf Drive, we will meet on that side at the preserve entrance.
Last year, Save the Sound’s Coastal Cleanup program helped bring together 1,512 volunteers, who removed 6,517 pounds of trash from over 45 miles of Connecticut shoreline.
Volunteers are needed to remove trash and collect data that will be used to help stop debris at its source.
