Join us this Sunday, April 7, 2013 for the 9^th annual AIDS Walk New Haven, dedicated to HIV/AIDS fundraising and awareness! Each year, students, families, friends, teammates and co-workers from around New Haven come together in a day of education and remembrance, but also entertainment. This year, our speakers and performers include: Leif Mitchell, Assistant Director of the Communicy Research Core at Yale’s Center for Interdiscplinary Research on AIDS; Ellen Gabrielle, Director of Development at Liberty Community Services; the Yale Precision Marching Band; and recording artist Johnathan Celestin. Through the participation of hundreds of volunteers and walkers, this event has a proud tradition of helping to mobilize the community in the local fight against HIV/AIDS and of raising tens of thousands of dollars to benefit the work of the Mayor’s Task Force on AIDS.
